The BEST eats and drinks in Elmira. I will forever love this place. Hoping they are super successful and continue to grow and expand.
Phenomenal place in downtown Elmira. Great atmosphere with live music and drinks. Delicious spicy margaritas. The owner came over and introduced himself and even went out of his way to make sure we were well taken care of during our visit. We can’t wait to go back and try some of the amazing food on the menu. We will definitely be back!
I went in here pretty blind since there's almost nothing about the place on Google or Facebook. At first I was a little disappointed and confused because the menu is completely different from the menu they posted to FB just a few weeks ago. And I came expecting a performer to be playing but there wasn't. Turns out that the performers play upstairs where food is not served. So you cannot dine and listen to music at the same time. This wasn't told to us. We found out from overhearing someone else's conversation. Regarding the menu, I was initially a little miffed at the very different, very small menu offered but I ordered the southern chicken sandwich and it turned out to be AMAZING. The hot honey sauce and aoli on the sandwich were a great flavor combo. Delicious but messy cause of the sauce and very oversized chicken but it was easy to get to a sink to wash afterwards. The menu price range is wide. Sandwiches and burgers are pretty standard price but entrees are very expensive. Service was attentive and friendly. They have a big drink menu and a full bar for cocktails. They do have wine, but it's not listed on the drink menu so you need to ask the bartender. I recommend getting a reservation. We did not and luckily were able to get a table but it filled up very quickly afterwards. The atmosphere is very loud and busy like a bar and seating is very limited. Since the establishment is small on the dining floor, it gets quite crowded and loud easily. But it is aesthetically attractive inside the dining room. Upstairs they have a small lounge with tables, chairs, couches, and a stage for performers. It's really nice and I'm glad we have something like this in the area. I would definitely come back to order a drink and sit upstairs and enjoy some live music. Final note: other reviews made me think this was a really upscale place and I needed to dress up. It's not. I was overdressed. I think you wouldn't wanna wear sweats here but jeans are totally ok. It's a nice place but it's not upscale/high class.
My three friends and I went to dinner here for the first time. We were so impressed!!! The food was amazing!! The owners and manager greeted us and were so friendly. We explained we would like the catfish, but it was on the menu as a sandwich and we were avoiding carbs. They offered to make it on a salad. The fish was the best I've ever had, the salad was fresh with homemade vinaigrette which was delicious. The drinks were perfect and the waitress was attentive. The atmosphere is so nice, with a Jazzy decor and with a musician playing. I can't wait to come back!!
Food and cocktails were next level, and the staff was great! The owner was super knowledgeable about his cocktails and properly engaged in the lounge activities. Loved it. 10/10. Will definitely be back!
What a wonderful surprise. We ate every entree on the menu and they were all fabulous. We started with 3 appetizers and they were all delicious. Standout appetizers were the Brussel Sprouts and the Sticky Ribs. The calamari was prepared excellently and garnished with spicy peppers. Steaks were professionally cooked and perfectly medium rare. Lobster Risotto was so well done. Coconut Curry Shrimp was excellent as was the Jerk Chicken Pasta. The service was warm and inviting. Sue, the owner, came by to say hello and share her recipes and experience with us. She was a delight. Do yourself a favor and if you are in the area, do stop in. A real gem in Elmira.
The care and time the staff take to cook everything to order is amazing. I have a rather difficult allergy to work around (onions) and the staff have been nothing short of absolutely fantastic. Both cooks came out and checked with me about what they could make, checking each ingredient, and were able to accommodate me. Based on the service ALONE this place is absolutely a hidden gem! The cocktail menu is divine but they don't mind making you something off the menu. The food is absolutely to die for, even the burger was cooked to perfection! The owner is so sweet and wonderful, we will 1000% be back! The views over the Chemung River don't hurt either!
